John Piper, probably the main promoter of this truth now, has said that he is being asked this question very often. His answer is yes, no human opinion can ever increase or decrease God's glory. But it can make it more apparent to other people. Piper used an example of a telescope, that can be used to bring stars closer. So is with our giving God the glory - we can help other people see how truly magnificent it is, by brining it closer to them.

So God's main end in his Creation is His glory, but not because he wants to increase it (it is already infinite) but because he wants us to see it better and by that make Him out ultimate joy.

I'm not so sure that I agree with you here. "God's goal is His glory."? Methinks not. This would imply that His creation's opinion is the main reason for Him to do what He does. The fact is that God is God no matter what we think.

Glory is a bit of a human invention. It is the idol of the faithless. By forgoing glory ourselves and giving it to God, we save ourselves from losing Him. This is because we need it, not because He does.
